What will EMDR therapy realistically cost me?
Short answer
For a single recent event, usually six to twelve sessions at 80 KM each — roughly five hundred to a thousand marks in total, spread over two or three months. A long history costs more and takes longer. The first call is free, there are no packages, and you can stop after any session.
This is the question people ask out loud least often and search for most. So it is here, with numbers, rather than "on request".

Calculated at 80 KM per session. The first two or three sessions are history and preparation — they are included.

480–960 KM
A single recent event
An accident, an assault, one loss. Usually 6–12 sessions, weekly at first, then less often. Two to three months.

320–640 KM
One clear phobia, or panic with a root
Fear of driving after an accident, a single phobia. Often 4–8 sessions. One to two months.

960–1600 KM
Several events, but connected
A run of similar situations sharing one conclusion about yourself. Usually 12–20 sessions. Three to six months.

after 2–3 sessions
A long history, from childhood
Longer preparation and several rounds of processing. I do not give a range for this in advance — I give it after mapping.
The stabilisation group is 240 KM for six weeks, which is a cheaper way through the preparation phase before starting individual work.
Up and down
- Shortens it
- One clear event. Recent rather than from childhood. A stable daily life now. Being a teenager — with them it often goes faster.
- Lengthens it
- Several unconnected events. A long history starting early. Active crisis or an unstable situation at home. More time needed for preparation.
- Changes nothing
- In person or online — same price. Bosnian or English — same price. A session is always fifty minutes and I do not charge extra for longer "intensive" sessions.
Why there is no calculator here
I could add a field where you type a number of sessions and it prints a total. It would tell you nothing the table above does not, and it would make the number look more precise than it is.
Before the initial assessment I can only give a range. A firmer estimate follows it.
If cost is the obstacle, say so on the first call. I keep a limited number of lower-fee slots. If none are free I will tell you plainly rather than keeping you on a list.
